Context

As part of the TrueProfit product team, I collaborated on multiple workshops with the content team to define the app’s tone and voice branding. We discussed our mission and vision, shared individual reflections, and aligned on different tone ranges before reaching a final framework.

This process not only helped unify the product’s communication style but also ensured that every message reflects the brand’s values consistently. The outcome was a clear and actionable tone and voice guide that can be applied across in-app content, support messages, and marketing materials.

2. Define brand personality (individual reflection)

Then, participants individually sorted the words into categories based on where they best fit (check the adjectives’ definitions)

3. Define tone and voice (Individual ranges)

Select a low-spectrum word and a high-spectrum word for each end of your attitudinal range. Place your sticky notes according to which side of the spectrum you believe your company’s brand aligns more closely.
